Spa Etiquette
Be mindful of noise.
This is a quiet space where people come to relax, unwind, and forget the stresses of the world. Please remember to silence your phone and keep voices low so that we can all find that tranquil state of mind.
Remove your shoes.
Please remove your shoes upon entering so that we may keep our space clean and serene. A pair of spa sandals will be provided if desired.
Be kind and appropriate.
Our staff are licensed professionals, dedicated to nurturing, healing, and providing a safe space for every client that comes into our spa. We kindly ask that you respect their professionalism by refraining from any inappropriate or lewd behavior. Creating a safe and comfortable space is a mutual responsibility, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining an atmosphere of respect and care.
Arrive early.
Please note that your appointment time is the start time of your treatment; if your appointment is at 12:30, that means the session begins at 12:30. To ensure you receive the full benefit of your session, we kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for check-in and preparation.
We do not currently have a receptionist. If you arrive for your appointment and the doors are locked, we are finishing up our last treatment and will be out shortly to let you inside. Please feel free to wait in your car, or in our lawn chairs on the grass. We kindly thank you for your patience.
Arrive fresh.
To ensure the best possible experience for you, we kindly ask that you arrive in a reasonably clean state. We understand many of you may be out enjoying the park, and while a full shower isn’t always necessary, please take a moment to freshen up if you’ve been engaging in activities like hiking or biking. This helps us provide you with the highest quality service. The feeling of dirt and lotion gliding over your skin may not be the most pleasant (unless you’re looking for a sugar scrub!).
Skip the products.
To optimize your experience and ensure the effectiveness of our treatments, we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing perfumes, lotions, or hair products during your visit. These products can sometimes “clash” with our lotion, and create a slippery/skiddy surface that makes it challenging for our therapists to provide the ideal pressure and techniques. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as we strive to deliver the best possible service for your relaxation and wellbeing.
Communicate with us.
Our goal is to make this the best experience possible for you. If something is not feeling enjoyable, please let us know so that we may make reasonable adjustments. We are always listening and are happiest when our clients walk away happy!
Dress comfortably.
We use lotions and oils in almost all of our treatments, and there may be some left on your skin at the end of the treatment. Wear something that is easy to change in and out of, and that you don’t mind possibly getting a little lotion on. Robes will be provided for your convenience in between treatments if you have more than one treatment booked with us per person.
